I always knew that I would stay married forever to the right person. I knew you were that person all those years ago. Here we are twenty five years later, after going through thick and thin, good times and bad.
How did we do that? Well, I think it’s because we’ve always looked for ways to improve our relationship, and found ways for having fun together, and because we still do lots of little things for one another that remind us all the time of why we married each other in the first place.
We are not the same people we were when we met. We have both changed enormously, and aged a lot along the way. During our time together thus far, we have learned a lot about life, ourselves, and each other, and we have both provided each other with the support needed to be able to summon the strength to get through another day, especially when we were both working full time.
Connie: you are my shining light, my savior, my rock. You are the one I can count on PERIOD. You are the one I love the most in my universe, and I have never loved anyone or anything else as much as I love you. I could never imagine myself without you, or being with anyone else.
I know that living with me and loving me hasn’t been easy whatsoever. Thank you for always being there for me, and so many others that we love in this world. I am so grateful that I have had the pleasure of having you in my life for all of this time, and I cannot begin to express my love for you well enough to embody it’s true strength and power.
We met against almost inconceivable odds using a brand new medium of communication, the emerging Internet, and when we met after a year of email communication only, we knew each other better than most people know one another after years of living together. We were absolutely destined to be together and I think this anniversary is strong evidence of it!
Connie, I wish to continue to be your lawfully wedded husband! To have you and to hold you, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, and I promise to continue loving you, and cherishing you for as long as I am still breathing!
My life has never been better than during our time together. With you at my side, I’ve seen more, done more, and have had more experiences while married to you than I ever imagined I would have in my lifetime, and it’s all been absolutely amazing.
I am so grateful for you, and for the continued opportunity to be “us.” Thank you for sharing your life with me for all of these years. I love you beyond my ability to truly express my feelings.
