Review One of My Books

Thank you very much for reading my books and now choosing to leave a review. Reviews are the lifeblood of authorship. It’s an important feedback loop for any author, to hear honestly from people when their writing isn’t that great, as well as act as a loud applaud system when it’s fantastic.

Reviews contribute the same to other readers and promote discussions between those who have different takes on what they’ve read. It also operates as a trust badge. When an interested buyer sees lots of favorable reviews left by other readers, they feel more confident about deciding to go ahead with their purchase decision.

The author develops the characters with vivid descriptions and close attention to detail.

The ending will surprise you.

Definitely a book you cannot put down.

Looking forward to the author’s next book!

60 year old divorced male finds a deep personal life goal!

November 15, 2025

WOW! Keith Milne’s second novel, Unity House, once again drew me in to non-stop reading similar to how I reacted to his first novel, The Unlikely Angel of Casco Bay. In this novel, 60 year old Tanner Dalton was living in Massachusetts and was recently divorced from his unfaithful wife. He has to face several divorce issues of trust, loss of financial security and probably the inability to ever father a child. He decides to move back to the San Francisco Bay Area to visit his dying mother and seek a more fulfilling life where he once lived. I loved the descriptions of some of the areas he describes — Muir Woods in Marin County, the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco & the vistas from Mount Diablo. The twist and turns of finding a more meaningful way to make ends meet are portrayed along with his relationships with three females. He interacts with each of those relationships in a very thoughtful, honest manner. However, there are some unpleasant realizations for him with several of those relationships and some intense unexpected drama which kept me riveted to continue reading. He continues to dig into what is the most important thing he needs to accomplish in his life and is able to progress towards that goal and make it a reality.

“A Must Read Book” of loss, love, trauma & adventure for a Maine Lobsterman!

November 6, 2025

I was surprised at how much this book drew me in to non-stop reading! The setting in the coastal Maine town of Casco Bay brought back my own fond memories of being on vacation in coastal lobster towns in Maine. However, little would I have thought of the possible difficulties some of the citizens from there might be going through. This book explores the life of lobsterman Ben and his struggles. I was amazed how the author could describe in detail the psychological traumas of Ben, his ability to plan an escape and also his ability to defend his son and himself. His family’s love brought tears to my eyes and Feelings of “Phew” it’s over” at the end. I’m still wheeling from the power of this novel! Excellent novel, Mr. Milne!

*Edited by the author who removed some details that should remain a surprise.

The Unlikey Angel of Casco Bay

November 4, 2025

When I saw the first cover of this book, I held off. Then it apprared with the new cover that appealed to me and I couldn’t resist. It didn’t take long for me to get caught up with Ben’s history and his devotion to the sea. He was also devoted to his family and strugged with the death of his wife. He leaned on alcohol, found it no good, thought about not living anymore. A quick turn changed his life and at one point he had to fight hard to save it. Romance, and bad luck with the return of evil all kept me reading, not wanting to stop. Ben’s story keeps you guessing. First book for the author? I hope he keeps writing. Great job!
