Hampton Roads Gold is Finished!

After months of writing, revising, restructuring, and fine-tuning, I’m pleased to announce that my third novel, Hampton Roads Gold, has officially been submitted to both the BookLife Prize and Book Pipeline competitions.

Set in the Hampton Roads region of Virginia during the early 1980s, Hampton Roads Gold is a crime/psychological thriller centered around Rhett Carver, a gifted goldsmith whose life slowly unravels after becoming entangled in a dangerous smuggling operation operating along the Virginia coast.

Unlike my previous novels, this story leans heavily into suspense, paranoia, betrayal, and the psychological toll of living between two worlds—one legitimate, the other increasingly violent and corrupt.

No matter what comes from the competitions themselves, reaching this stage feels significant. Every novel presents its own challenges, but this one demanded more research, more restructuring, and more emotional energy than anything I’ve written before.

The next step will be preparing advance reader copies (ARCs) for early reviewers ahead of publication.

More updates to come as the project moves closer toward release.

Thank you for being patient waiting for this one. You will be rewarded for doing so reading it.
