I’m Keith C. Milne, a fiction author driven by an unyielding passion for storytelling. My novels are stand-alone works, each weaving together diverse genres — from suspense-thrillers and dark romances to heartfelt tales of human connection — inviting readers into worlds where characters wrestle with their pasts, confront unexpected twists, and search for meaning. My writing journey is fueled by a love for exploring the unexpected. Ideas sparked from everyday moments, a sudden what-if, or a whispered thought — and before I know it, I’m deep into my characters’ lives, letting their stories unfold in real time.
My first novel, The Unlikely Angel of Casco Bay, which debuted for sale on March 1, 2025, is a suspense-thriller with a dark romantic undercurrent. The novel was born out of a short story with the same name. A friend read the short story, then contacted me and insisted that I at least attempt to write more, perhaps even a novel, because she had to know what happened to Ben, the main protagonist, next. She felt that there was so much more to tell. And, she was right. The characters refused to stay quiet. What began as a short story posted here on this website, evolved, and so did the narrative, blossoming into a full-length novel that balances love and danger in equal measure. Two months later, I finished a fairly polished first draft. Four months and two more drafts later, the third iteration of my novel had become The Unlikely Angel of Casco Bay, A Novel, By Keith Christian Milne.

I’m also thrilled to announce another, upcoming novel, Unity House. This 110,000-word story follows Tanner Dalton, a man returning to his roots in Concord, California, only to be caught between rekindled love, complicated choices, and an inspiring vision for a home that will change lives. It’s a romance — but also so much more — exploring human relationships, loss, and hope. So stay tuned for that one. I’ll be offering more about it when time allows. It’s been a more difficult write, but it’s coming together nicely now.
Beyond my novels, you’ll find an array of personal opinion pieces and commentary on my blog — musings about life, society, and anything that stirs me to put my fingers to my keyboard. While my focus remains on my books, my blog still remains a part of who I am as a writer. However, I have completely given up posting political opinion pieces. Yes, what formerly was the mainstay of my blog, political commentary, is now banned from this site. We are all drowning in political opinion, and I won’t add my water to that pool any longer. I have purged over fifty previously written blog posts that all shared three things in common: they were very lengthy, very charged, and very angry posts all written during the first Trump presidential term.
